Industrial and Commercial Floor Coatings

Unique Epoxy offers a variety of coatings and sealers to protect commercial and industrial concrete floors. Since concrete is porous it absorbs whatever is spilled upon it. This can create an unsafe work environment and eventually an ugly, unwanted stain. Since it is almost impossible to prevent leaks and spills, you need to properly coat and seal your concrete flooring. Doing so will eliminate one more thing you have to worry about and save you money.

Industrial coatings are more affordable than replacing even a small section of concrete; disruptions will be minimized. The coatings we use bond at the molecular level, sealing the surface with an impermeable barrier. When accidents occur they can be quickly and completely cleaned up. Your flooring will be protected from corrosion. In addition, industrial and commercial coatings extend both the appearance and lifetime of high traffic areas, especially where heavy equipment is used. Our goal is to work with each client to select the floor coating that works best in their situation. Many of our clients have a good idea of what they need, but if you don't that's no problem. Just call and together we can find a solution. Unique Epoxy needs to know the square footage you want to cover. Having floor plans is even better. We also need to know what traffic you anticipate. A commercial setting such as a Publix grocery store has different needs than a warehouse with forklifts. Other factors include your location and whether you want a decorative design coating.

Once we have this information we can generally prepare a quote within an hour. No need to put you off - when you call you are probably ready to have the floor installed now! When our crew arrives you can expect us to work diligently and complete your job as quickly as possible. However, once we start we need to work straight through. We can schedule around your open or busy times, but we cannot stop and start over several days. We want to be as little of a distraction as possible.

Variety of Coatings and Sealers

Our standard sealer is epoxy, which consists of two components: a resin and a hardener. Epoxy is extremely strong and is perfect for high traffic and heavy equipment areas. Unique Epoxy has applied this technique in Caterpillar plants, the Smithsonian, and the National Treasury in Washington, D.C. For durability, Epoxy can't be beat.

Urethane coatings have the same advantages of epoxy with the added benefits of being more scratch resistant and able to repel U-V rays, so they can also be used in exterior flooring. Double broadcast floors combine the durability of epoxy with a variety of colored sand / quartz finishes. This technique adds a decorative element and is used mainly in hotels.
